Certain AI features in Vynix involve the processing of facial imagery. This section explains how we handle face data:
What Face Data We Collect
When you use face-related AI features (such as face swap, face stylization, face restoration, or portrait animation), we collect:
- Photos or images you upload that contain faces
- The AI-generated output images/videos containing transformed faces
Important: Vynix does NOT extract, store, or create biometric face templates, face embeddings, or face recognition data. We do not use facial recognition technology to identify individuals. The images you upload are processed as regular image files.
How Face Data Is Used
Face-containing images are used exclusively for:
- AI Processing: Transmitting your uploaded images to third-party AI service providers (Replicate, fal.ai) to perform the requested transformation (face swap, stylization, restoration, or animation)
- Result Storage: Storing the generated output in your account so you can view, download, and manage your creations
- History Display: Showing your generation history within the app
We do NOT use face data for:
- Facial recognition or identification
- Creating biometric profiles
- Training AI models
- Advertising or marketing purposes
- Sharing with third parties for their own purposes
Third-Party Processing
Face-containing images are shared with our AI service providers solely to process your generation requests:

These providers process images transiently to generate results and do not retain your images for their own purposes beyond the processing request.
Storage Location
- Uploaded Images: Temporarily stored in Firebase Cloud Storage during processing, then may be retained in your generation history
- Generated Results: Stored in Firebase Cloud Storage and linked to your account
- Generation Records: Metadata stored in Firebase Firestore (timestamps, settings used, status)
All storage is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption protocols.
Retention Period
- Active Account: Face-containing images and generated results are retained until you delete them or delete your account
- After Deletion: When you delete a generation or your account, the associated images are permanently deleted from our storage within 30 days
- AI Provider Retention: Our AI providers (Replicate, fal.ai) process images transiently and do not retain them after processing is complete
Your Control Over Face Data
You have full control over your face data:
- Delete individual generations (including face images) at any time from within the app
